101 Ways to Love Yourself

We generally exert conscious effort to make other people feel valued and loved. We move mountains, travel miles and even challenge status quos just because we want to send our messages across.

Today, I want to remind myself (and everyone else who might need this post) that it also takes the same level of effort to love ourselves just as much as how we  share our lives to the people we care about.

I’m sharing a hundred and one ways (out of a thousand ways and more) because after all, “You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”

  1. Get enough sleep. Believe me, it does magic.
  2. Rest.
  3. Reset. It gives a brand new perspective.
  4. Avoid difficult people because I also encourage you to
  5. Avoid unnecessary arguments. There is no point in winning nonsense fights, to be honest.
  6. Fall in love but make sure to
  7. Fall for the right one since it usually impacts how you
  8. Choose to live your life.
  9. Forgive the people who hurt you no matter how hard it is to forget.
  10. Forgive yourself, too. Trust me, it liberates.
  11. Seek for a deeper personal relationship with the Lord and strive to
  12. Sustain a strong connection with our Saviour.
  13. Volunteer and
  14. Engage yourself with organizations that uphold and support a good cause.
  15. Drink more water.
  16. Eat the right kind and amount of food.
  17. Exercise.
  18. Breathe well.
  19. Remember that wellness is a major component of happiness.
  20. Educate yourself.
  21. Read self-help books.
  22. Attend seminars.
  23. Listen to stories.
  24. Figure your greatest emotional why. It will help you
  25. Find your life’s ultimate meaning and purpose.
  26. Meditate.
  27. Practice mindfulness.
  28. Think positive and
  29. Avoid anything that derail your train of thoughts.
  30. Create,
  31. Own and
  32. Immortalize moments.
  33. Bask in the sun’s glory.
  34. Stop and appreciate the flowers’ beauty.
  35. Travel.
  36. Learn a new word a day.
  37. Develop your interpersonal skills.
  38. Visualize your future.
  39. Specify your dreams.
  40. Create a vision board and
  41. Look at it everyday.
  42. Say “I am” instead of “I will”.
  43. Recognize the value of financial literacy.
  44. Prepare for retirement.
  45. Be kind to yourself.
  46. Be honest with yourself.
  47. Guard your heart as much as how you
  48. Guard your dreams.
  49. Stop comparing yourself with other people.
  50. Stop committing the same mistake time and again.

  54. Learn to appreciate the person you get to see in the mirror.
