Hello, friends! Let me tell you a secret! I still feel kilig everytime I remember that I’m already married. 😂 Three weeks ago, I tied the knot with the man that I dearly love and no word can really describe how joyful I was! ❤ I wanted to immortalize everything, that I genuinely savored every moment of our wedding!

Meanwhile, I’m here today to write about our first international getaway as husband and wife in no less than the breathtaking and glorious island of Bali, Indonesia.
Prior to the trip, I have read how it has been awarded as one of the world’s top destinations and true enough, I could actually attest that Bali is a “living postcard” as how others attempt to describe it.

Bali offers a great collection of destinations (from intricately carved temples to pristine beaches to tropical rainforests to #whateverwherever) so we were sort of confused about where to actually go. We were given a list of the go-to places and we consequently tried to pick as many sites as we could. 🤣
Let me take you to two of Bali’s tourist attractions in this entry (and my only hope is for me to have the luxury of time to share more in my future posts!)

Attraction | Luwak Coffee Plantation of Jambe Asri Agrotourism

Madi, our tour guide, walked us through the process of how a luwak coffee is being prepared.

You can have the following set of coffee and tea for 50,000.00 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) only. That’s approximately 13.20 AED for 14 delectable cups!

“Kopi Luwak is coffee brewed on beans that has been through the digestive system of a civet – a cat like mostly nocturnal mammal. The civets eat the coffee cherries for their fleshy pulp, but the beans are left intact all the way through the digestive system. The enzymes inside the civet’s stomach extract the bitterness from the coffee, making Kopi Luwak smooth and mild with a sweet aftertaste.” – Source

The flower that I was wearing behind my ear is called “jepun” in Bali.

I was never a coffee lover until I met AJ! For some reason, I feel like my day is incomplete without actually drinking a good cup of coffee. (I sometimes have two or three!)
“A day without coffee is like something without something.” Lel! Such a funny quote! Hahaha! Don’t mind me!

Let’s now move to our next stop!

Attraction | The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary (Ubud)

The monkey is a prominent figure of the Balinese Art Tradition. In fact, it has remarkably appeared in the musical drama that Aj and I watched during our second day in Bali.

There are about 600 monkeys living in this gigantic forest!

It was a beautiful experience to reunite, refresh and recharge with nature.

There are three temples in the area of the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary!

Selfie before lunch! Gutom na kaayo ko ani na mga orasa, DMD. Lel!

I am still in sheer awe of how God sealed our love with a delightful promise that He’d be with us and for us in this lifetime journey.
Dear, thank you for spending your time with me. See you in my next #AJourneywithSHO story.
