I was going through my files and found these precious photographs taken during my bridal shower which transpired SEVEN MONTHS ago! Now, I want you to imagine that you didn’t read the previous lines and let’s all just pretend that this actually happened just a week ago or so! 😅

If there is one thing in the world that I won’t ever trade, it would be my beautiful friendship with the girls that I have loved since college days.

We’re used to surprising each other during birthdays and all the occasions in between that I immediately expected (or more like – assumed) that they’re gonna give me the bridal shower of my dreams. Hahaha!

I can imagine how my lovely barkada planned for all these pretty things! (Well, I should know as we also prepared for the bridal shower of my fellow 2018 brides – Jessa and Ge!)

So, if you wish to throw a bridal shower for your best friend and make her the happiest bride-to-be, here are some of the things that you might want to consider. Proper planning and execution are some of the keys!

Set the date and time of the event. Consider the bride-to-be’s schedule and ask everyone else’s availability specially if it is a destination wedding.

Research and agree about the venue! This has to be done as early as possible as the setting potentially impacts the mood and theme of the moment. Girls, find a place that evokes bliss and merriment!

Assign committee heads so you can ensure that everything’s well-prepared! You know your friends’ strengths so you sure have an idea who to tag in each department.

Decors | Check if decorations are necessary. Bridal Showers are not uncommon nowadays. You don’t need to hurt your pockets as you can check a lot of pretty items online at very affordable prices.

Food | Check if there’s a restaurant within the vicinity. You can also order and have them delivered for free! Don’t forget the much-coveted cake and the bride’s favorite steak!!!

Program | Assign someone who would determine and guide the flow of the event. You don’t want it to be boring, do you? So invest your time conceptualizing for a great and fun-filled party!

Gift | You can buy your gift as a group or encourage everyone to bring something useful, naughty or nice.

Consider the bride-to-be’s personality! It would be a bonus if you can add an activity that she surely enjoys the most!

As for my case, my friends know how much I love beautiful photos so they hired our wedding photographer for this heartwarming moment of celebration.

I can still hear my friends’ laughter and cheer whenever I recall the night. Thank you Kent, Ge, Razel, Ishna, Kim, Dio, Kimberly, Jessa and their loved ones for giving me one of the best parties that I have ever attended in my entire life. I love you!
