Seminyak, Bali

My husband came home with a beautiful rose last night. I was absolutely stunned, I just reacted with a gushy “Awww”. He consequently hugged me tight, whispered and asked, “Diin na imong second blog entry about Bali, Love? Ga wait ko bala! Mag-unsubscribe nako simo!!! 😤” (Hayyy. Nanu ka ya?!! Hahaha!!!)

I have previously shared about how blessed we were to experience Bali in all its glory! (Blessed because the honeymoon trip was our barkada’s gift!!! Click here for the first entry!) Aside from the financial support that they generously shared, they also researched and booked the villa where we actually stayed! (Talk about Magis!!!)

Seminyak, Bali is a beach resort area at the southern end of Bali, Indonesia.

We’re eminently grateful that they chose Astagina Resort and Spa — situated at the heart of Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia!

Seriously? #HHWE??? Hahaha!

I was extremely busy (for the wedding), that I did not prepare any itinerary! (This is so not me!) In effect, the hashtags for our first day were — #ComeWhatMay #WhateverWillBeWillBe #WhateverHappensHappens #ADayinBali   Haha!

Free breakfast at Astagina Resort and Spa!

Let’s now delve into how we spent our day in sheer spontaneity!

Right after our breakfast, we decided to just stroll along the charming streets and found ourselves amused about everything in anything — no wonder why Seminyak has been tagged as the centre in Bali for hip and inventive fashion boutiques, designer stores and art studios!

We bought some items at affordable prices! (Tip! Bargain with the vendors persistently!)

Can I stay in Bali forever?
I’m a fan of pretty items!

We chanced upon Cafe Seminyak and took some time to evaluate our wedding!

Sige, again. HAHAHA!

The Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is the official currency of Indonesia. 100,000.00 IDR is approximately 380.00 PHP |26.00 AED.

We went back to our villa and decided to swim and awra!

Happy wife!

Lunch time! I loved the Indonesian Food!

It’s good to note that the Indonesian Cuisine is eclectic and diverse.

All smiles because of #RICE!!!

Prepping for dinner! (Immediately after lunch?!!!) Lel!

I hit 45-kg few weeks before the wedding!

We strolled along the streets right after swimming!

It was such a delight to see the roads filled with vibrant boutiques and lovely shops of crafts and garments. It was even more delightful to see the locals who greeted us with their charming smiles!

We just walked and walked until…

Lahi sad ilang #Grab uy!

….we reached The Seminyak Beach that absolutely looked gorgeous at half past five in the afternoon!

We just marveled at the beauty of Seminyak, Bali!
Nakapoy na gyud akong Bana sige’g picture nako! Hahaha!

This photo simply can’t give justice to how it actually looked right before my eyes.
Pag-ihap pud beh? Haha!

Nasi Goreng | Indonesian Stir-Fried Rice

Happy day!

So that’s basically how we spent our first day in Bali! I have realized (again!) that —

There’s always beauty in spontaneity.

Traveling is fun when you’re with your best buddy.

Life is beautiful if you only choose to enjoy the journey!

Good night, everyone! Until my next #AJourneywithSHO story!

♥️,

Shola
