#BeautifulBali

I eminently love the word beautiful.

It epitomizes anything that is exquisite, tranquil, majestic. It evokes a surreal feeling – that of a kind that stirs the mind, the spirit…

…and Bali, in all its splendour, deserves to be called beautiful. We simply enjoyed every bit of it. It was laidback yet lively. Lovely.

Bali boasts stunning natural backdrops, immaculate beaches, must-see temples and a whole heap more!

I am sharing six of Bali’s tourist attractions in this entry! (P.S. I took a lot of photo opportunities! Really!)

Attraction | Tegallalang Rice Terraces

It was quarter past two in the afternoon when we arrived and saw the scenic view. AJ and I hurriedly chose the ideal spot for sight-seeing while enjoying each other’s company.

The moment was perfect. I could still recall how we discussed about the things that concurred during our wedding. It was heartwarming. There was fundamental sense of peace.

I wouldn’t mind having a thousand (and more) cups of coffee with you!

You could see a lot of cafes and art kiosks within the Tegallalang Rice Terraces’ vicinity!

The Tegallalang Rice Terraces is a natural charmer. Don’t miss its dramatic views specially when you’re already in the zones of Ubud. There’s no entrance fee! The best things in life are undeniably free.

Attraction | Sari Wisata Budaya

The Sari Wisata Budaya (Barong and Kris Dance) is a Balinese Mythological dance that depicts the constant battle between the good and the evil.

The dance drama gave us a good glimpse of Indonesia’s rich history and culture.

Attraction | Tirta Empul Temple

I don’t really play favorites but Tirta Empul Temple (Holy Water Spring) is an exception! The natural cultural heritage site located in Manukaya Village surely gave me the #feels. (Could be because I am a fan of anything serene and the location absolutely made me feel disconnected from all the trivial things.)

The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly, which Balinese Hindus consider to be holy or amritha. (Source)

Attraction | Padang Padang Beach

The Padang Padang Beach is a popular beach and surf spot in Bali. We were greeted by a number of tourists so we opted not to swim. We just enjoyed the view and took a lot of videos as we passed through its distinctive hollow rock entrance. The experience was invigorating!

If you’re someone who loves stylish and affordable clothes, Bali, Indonesia will never disappoint you! Believe me. Fashion Bazaars are everywhere! You just need to unleash your haggling skills to get the best value for your money.

Attraction | Kintamani Volcano

I can’t think of a better word than “majestic” to describe the Kintamani Volcano. In our second day in Bali, we followed our tour guide’s advice (Why hello, Nick!) to visit and experience the grandeur of Kintamani, also known as Mount Batur.

We had an amazing lunch before this scenic view! Chicken satay for the win…

…and coffee, too!

Crush!

Attraction | Uluwatu Temple

The Uluwatu Temple or Pura Luhur Uluwatu is one of Bali’s top destinations as it allows you to marvel at the sunset while overlooking the stunning Indian Ocean.

There are moments in my life that I just can’t seem to forget – and the time that I spent in Uluwatu temple is something that I will forever remember with a smile on my face.

I looked at AJ from a distance and thanked the Lord with all my heart. Cliché but the following line sums up what I felt. “I still remember the days I prayed for the things I have now.”

Sure, it’s going to be a long journey ahead but with love and commitment, I pray that we can make it through.

With Bali, I learned to love the word ‘beautiful’ all the more…

…and just like Bali, in all its richness and glory, I pray that we continue to radiate beauty from the inside out!

Until my next #AJourneywithSHO story.

♥️,

Shola
